The Pro Swing Instructional Baseball School was created in 1989 at Swingtown USA in El Cajon, California by Dan Dixon providing private lessons to kids from the age of 6 to 18 years. The end of 1989 had organized two camps. As the organization grew, we also ran numerous youth clinics, coach's clinics and private lessons in both pitching and hitting. One of The Pro Swing's very first camps, held at Grossmont Junior College, featured Roberto Alomar and Daryl Strawberry. |

| - Temecula Camp |
|
| Dan has always found current major leaguers that are willing to give back a little of their time for the youngsters. It has always been a gentleman's handshake agreement on appearing at the camps. At all camps, Dan asks parents and students to write in comments of what they thought of the camp and things that we could do to improve them. We take the comments and constructive criticism in a positive way so that we can use them to improve future camps. In 1997, Dan moved his family to Temecula, California, and it was apparent that this Southern region of Riverside County needed a professionally run instructional baseball camp. The community has welcomed us with open arms and the future looks quite promising. In San Diego, California the camps have been predominately in the Inland North County of San Diego at Mt Carmel High School, Poway High School, and Westview High School. The camps have been long standing and have established themselves as being the finest available in the Southern California area. |
