About Camp
The Pro Swing uses state of the art equipment when it comes to their batting cages, pitching mounds, soft toss machines and video equipment. In The Pro Swing camps, your kids will learn so much more than baseball instruction. They will learn to interact with other kids, work as a team, understand the importance of a good education, drug education, and conditioning.
Philosophy & History

What sets The Pro Swing Camps apart from its competitors is that we use only current and former major and minor league players as instructors for the camps. We are not aware of any other baseball camps that can guarantee this level of service. All Pro Swing instructors must have the skills to teach and pass on what they've learned over the years in a personal and professional manner in order to make the camps a success. All Pro Swing instructors are dedicated professionals who enjoy giving their time and knowledge to kids interested in baseball. The Pro Swing camps offer much more than just baseball instruction, the kids learn the value of being a team player, sportsmanship, and that winning isn't everything.

The Pro Swing Instructional Baseball School was created in 1989 at Swingtown USA in El Cajon, California by Dan Dixon providing private lessons to kids from the age of 6 to 18 years. The end of 1989 had organized two camps. As the organization grew, we also ran numerous youth clinics, coach's clinics and private lessons in both pitching and hitting. One of The Pro Swing's very first camps, held at Grossmont Junior College, featured Roberto Alomar and Daryl Strawberry.

Dan Dixon
Dan Dixon, Owner of The Pro Swing, currently is in his 27th year as a Professional Baseball Scout and former player in the Texas Rangers Organization. He is a former batting practice pitcher for the San Diego Padres, and has assembled an excellent staff of current and former major and minor league players.
