21st Annual Summer Baseball Camps
The Pro Swing camp is perfect for beginners, intermediate and advanced players. All students will be instructed on the basic fundamentals of the game. Don't be fooled by other imitation camps that use high school and college kids as instructors. Please compare to other camps and you'll be convinced that we're above the rest. All Pro Swing instructors are hand picked-by owner Dan Dixon and "must have professional experience".

Taking another Summer off because I have too many scouting assignments. -Dan Dixon

Affiliation

Dan would like to mention that The Pro Swing Camps are completely separate from his scouting responsibilities and are not in any way try-out camps. They are instructional camps for kids. Furthermore, The Pro Swing is NOT affiliated or endorsed in any way by the San Diego Padres baseball club or the Los Angeles Angels of Anahiem baseball club.

The Pro Swing reserves the right to substitute MLB players due to trades, assignment, rehab, etc. The Pro Swing Staff looks foward to the summer camps. Many of them did not have the opportunity to attend camps like these when they were kids, so they know how fortunate these kids really are.

"Over the years, I've been involved with numerous of Dan's Camps and Clinics. The kids learn the proper fundamentals of the game and get the best instruction available by former Major and Minor League Players." - Randy Jones

History

The Pro Swing Instructional Baseball School was created in 1989 at Swingtown USA in El Cajon, California by Dan Dixon providing private lessons to kids from the age of 6 to 18 years. The end of 1989 had organized two camps. As the organization grew, we also ran numerous youth clinics, coach's clinics and private lessons in both pitching and hitting. One of The Pro Swing's very first camps, held at Grossmont Junior College, featured Roberto Alomar and Daryl Strawberry.

Dan Dixon, Owner of The Pro Swing, currently is in his 27th year as a Professional Baseball Scout and former player in the Texas Rangers Organization.
